Expanded real-world data, on-demand help, and other updates

April 1, 2022

New feature

1. Help & Resources

With Help & Resources, it is now easier to find information relevant to your workflow in the User Manual and Dataset specifications.

Find the Help & Resources section on NeuroBlu’s R/Python code projects page, Category Mapper and Cohort Builder. Obtain answers to specific questions by accessing technical documentation and resources without leaving the context of your project.

2. Code versioning

Besides saving a new milestone, you can now view, duplicate and edit older milestones. With this, you can be assured that your code is saved with older milestones so that you can always retrieve previous milestones and make edits to the code.

Data updates

1. Dataset update (22R1)

  • Added new patients and encounters to the largest behavioral health real-world evidence dataset. All in the service of building real-world evidence for real-world impact.
  • Enhanced NeuroBlu’s smoothing algorithm of CGI-S scores to support outcome analysis by removing noise from outcome data. This allows important patterns to stand out distinctively.
  • Expanded drug mapping efforts to speed up analysis and enhance the representation of ingredients and products.

2. Data partnership

We are in the process of adding data to the NeuroBlu database emerging from our partnerships with The Harris Center and UTHealth. Key highlights:

  • ~500K new patients will be added to NeuroBlu, bringing our total database to over 1 million patients
  • Several new outcome measurements added to NeuroBlu, which will empower researchers to analyze scales commonly used in clinical practice. These scales include:
    - Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale ~57K patients
    - Quick Inventory of Depressive Symptomology: ~23K patients
    - PHQ-9: ~48K patients
    - Positive Symptom Rating Scale: ~10K patients
    - Brief Bipolar Disorder Symptom Scale: ~20K patients
    - DLA-20: ~32K patients

NeuroBlu the largest behavioral health database of its kind — will continue to grow throughout 2022. We are entering into several additional data partnerships that will increase geographic and demographic diversity, grow the number of patients, and allow for more powerful analyses.
